Today we’re unveiling a new, refreshed look for Boroughmuir Rugby & Community Sports Club that brings all parts of the club together under a single identity and reinforces our One Club, One Culture, One Community ethos.
The updated club logo will be adopted across all sections of the club - Senior, Academy, and Banshees - creating a consistent identity that reflects the club as it is today.
Rather than a complete redesign, the new logo is an evolution of Boroughmuir's existing crest. It retains the club's distinctive colours, the historic Bore Stone and the Saltire, while refining the design to make the Boroughmuir name more prominent and the overall look cleaner and more contemporary.
Alongside the club identity update, the club is also refreshing the branding of its bar, café, venue and community hub. Following feedback gathered from members, customers and associate clubs, the venue will be rebranded as The Clubhouse.
The new name better reflects how the space is used today, not just by our players, but by families, community groups, associate clubs, local businesses and visitors. Together, the changes create a more consistent identity across the club, from matchdays and playing kit to community events and social spaces.
Club President, Stevie Douglas, said:
"Boroughmuir has a proud history and a strong identity that means a great deal to our members, players and supporters. This isn't about changing who we are. It's about building on what already exists and making sure our identity reflects the club we've become.
"The new logo builds on the identity that generations of Boroughmuir players and supporters have worn with pride. We've created a cleaner, more modern look that works across every part of the club. Alongside The Clubhouse, it helps bring everything together under one identity while staying true to who we are."
The new identities will be introduced gradually across the club over the coming months.
Existing kit and merchandise will continue to be worn with pride across the club, and there is no expectation for members to replace items they already own. However, any new kit ordered through club kit partner, Gilbert, from June onwards will feature the updated Boroughmuir branding. The phased approach will allow the club to introduce the new identities in a practical and sustainable way while ensuring continuity for members and supporters.
While the look may be evolving, the values that sit behind it remain unchanged. The refreshed Boroughmuir and Clubhouse identities are designed to celebrate the club's heritage, strengthen its sense of community and support its ambitions for the years ahead.
BRCSC would also like to thank the team at Alliance Creative (Steve Johnstone and Matt Robinson) for their hard work and collaboration in helping create an identity that reflects the club’s heritage, community and future ambitions.
